I TOLD YOU Spring was nearly here… see, this proves that wishes come true if you’re serious enough about them…
There’s a tiny village a couple of miles or so from my house, just past the place where I get my free-range eggs from at the house by the level crossing. Them’s some mighty BIG eggs if you ask me and often they have double yolks as well. But (yet again!) I digress…
The tiny village is called Yedingham (so you can look it up on Google maps) and is nice, quiet and generally pretty-ish. Some of the villages around here are breathtakingly lovely, all year round. Yedingham however, is just lovely at this time of year because of the carpet of snowdrops that appear for just a couple of weeks, as the harbinger of Spring.
For your delectation, I braved the cold yesterday and snapped a couple of shots to prove my point.
Spring is definitely coming. Bring it on!
