About Akashic Liz

At my favourite beachI’m never comfortable with images of myself – part of the reason I’m the one who TAKES all the pictures round here! Still, this page is supposed to give some kind of introduction to who I am, so I accept that a picture of me is probably appropriate.

That said, I am not afraid of being looked at or anything … I’ve been a wife & mother, a teacher, a performer, a presenter, an artist, a costume designer, a writer and a cook for longer than it’s polite to remember, all occupations that really cannot be undertaken without being looked at a fair bit by the world and his wife. I suppose I just don’t really like looking at myself, but then I suspect I’m not alone in that quirk.

I adore my family – my children (two daughters and a son), grandchildren (three granddaughters and a grandson so far) and the love of my life, my long-suffering husband. I love cooking (I’m really good at it), sewing (I’m pretty good at that too – have even managed a book on the subject), art, music, drama, books, photography, nature, travel, history, sports (field hockey, rugby and tennis are my favourites), poetry, the sea, colour, animals (particularly cats and dogs), gardening, flowers, singing and writing. This blog will likely include aspects of all of these elements from time to time, some of which may be magnificent, others perhaps more mundane, who knows?

I have many, many stories to tell from my half-century of life thus far. I hope you enjoy reading about them. Some of you may even be part of these stories.

  2. Thank you for following “A Way With Words.” My joy in writing is made more complete when people read what I’ve written (and even more as they respond).

I write primarily about faith and mental illness, but I’m also known to dabble in other subjects, stories, and even the occasional poem. If you have any requests, please let me know.

I appreciate what you have going here and I pray you are blessed in your life and work, as you bless others.

    Gratefully,
    Tony Roberts

    • I am highly flattered by your kind comments – thank you! It’s just my life, which has been awesome at times and now I get to write about it. I am always grateful that I have this opportunity to share some of my highlights – but I am sure that we can all find great accomplishments in our lives. Who knows where the next steps take us? Thank you for reading my stories and I hope to be able to continue to entertain and enlighten all who chose to read my blog.
